Park Glen Elementary School Reviews

We moved here in 2006 from Los Angeles, Ca.... and we LOVE this school... my daughter who is in 2nd grade now, comes home highly motivated, her spelling words are extremely challenging, and the over all feel is that of a private school. They have computers, Music, P.E., Art, and a great library. She has learned so much in history. It's fun to listen to her teach me things I never knew. I love living here in Park Glen, and will miss this neighborhood when we have to move because of the great schools. Madison's Mom.

Best elementary school in Keller ISD by far! I know many people who have kids in other elementary schools in Keller ISD and they wish their kids went to Park Glen Elem. It is almost like going to a private school the attention to detail and care for the kids! Great staff, low turnover which means a lot!

This school has it down. My children (2 of 3) both read by the time they were in the second nine weeks of Kindergarten. They have systems in place that work. The teachers are all happy to be there, as there is much parental involvement, and they are all well-qualified for the job. We like the diversity of ethnicity at Park Glen, and the principal is a real go-getter. We would recommend this school to anyone, as they provide various special programs. My children have been involved in the speech program and the Exel program and both have proved worthwile.

This school is wonderful! The principal is excellent and the teachers are excellent. There is a HUGE amount of parental involvement and the PTA puts on a wide variety of activities. Highly recommend this school to everyone!

Very fantastic school. Children earn a great education while having fun and making friends. If you have a third grader I recommend Mrs. Vasquez as a teacher. (Formely Miss Cromwell) She provides fun with learning and just a little strictness. A. Eastridge

Park Glen is such an excellent school. My 3rd grader has attended PGE since Kindergarten and he has absolutely flourished. In fact, the entire 3rd grade class for the 2003-2004 school year has done awesome. Not one child, out of 7 3rd grade classrooms, failed the TAKS tests that were given in April. That is quite an extraordinary accomplishment. The teachers and staff at Park Glen happily welcome any parent who wants to be involved in the school. Parent involvement is key to Park Glen's success. Our principal, Carol Wicker, is such an asset to the school. She is involved in everything and is very visible, from helping students out of their cars for morning drop-offs to taking a pie in the face for a PTA activity. I absolutely love this school and will be sad when my son has to leave at the end of the next school year.

Excellent school with caring teachers. Both of my children have received a 'private' school education at a public school. This school goes far above the state-mandated minimum educational requirements. Parents are encouraged to participate in school-life on a daily basis. Safe suburban neighborhood with well-mannered children.

Very good school in excellent district. Rather 'clique-ish. Seems to be run by stay-at-home moms. Admin. seems to cater to them. But at least the teachers get some 'spoiling', which they deserve. Majority of teachers seem quite dedicated despite massive responsibilities and low pay. Admin.(&faculty?) far too hung up on Political Correctness. Not plagued by many of the problems elem's in poorer districts/neighborhoods battle.
